Lit Youngstown's First Wednesday Reader Series presents poets Amanda Stovicek D'Alessandro of Cleveland and Jyotsna Sreenivasan of Columbus, on Wednesday, April 2 at 7:00 pm at the Westside Bowl,on Mahoning Avenue, in Youngstown.
ASL interpretation will be provided by Meagan Albani, with support from the Raymond J. Wean Foundation. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs.

Kent State Trumbull Theater presents William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Peter Byrne, weekends from Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 13, with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Buhl Park presents Clean Up Week, running from April 5th to April 12th at Buhl Park in Hermitage. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, everyone is welcome to participate. Clean-up can be done on your own time and is a simple way of sprucing up our beloved community gem while preserving the natural beauty of Buhl Park for generations to come. The YSU Pre-Veterinary Society is hosting the Marjorie Hartman Family Pet Clinic, on Sunday, April 6, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, in the YSU Stambaugh Stadium Gymnasium. Area residents are welcome to bring there pets in to be examined by a local veterinarian and vaccinated as needed. This event serves local pets in need of affordable care, offers an opportunity for the pre-veterinary students at YSU to gain valuable skills, and offers learning opportunities for both students and owners.
The St. Patrick Church in Youngstown presents a Sauce & Song Concert, on Sunday, April 6, at 1:15 pm, at the Church on Oak Hill, in Youngstown. The program features Sue Black, who will play a variety of hand-carved flutes. Songs from the Cherokee nd Huron traditions will be featured, as well as other musical styles. The concert is open and free to all!

The American Association of University Women is presenting a talk by Lori Gorrell on Overcoming the Inner Critic: Four Common Obstacles and Solutions, on Monday, April 7, at 5:30 pm, at the Main Branch of the Mahoning County Public Library in Room 205. Gorrell is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation who founded Upward Solutions Coaching and Consulting in 2009. The program is open to the public.
