Advisory Board
About the Community Advisory Board
Purpose:
As a university licensee WYSU is not required to have a Community Advisory Board (CAB), but has found value in maintaining such a board. As representatives of the public, members of the Community Advisory Board (CAB) contribute their expertise to station management to help accomplish WYSU-FM’s mission to be a community cultural leader and provider of excellent fine arts and news and information radio programming. The CAB will serve as a sounding board and provide assistance for various station management initiatives, networking, marketing, events, and fundraising.
Membership
CAB membership shall reasonably represent the diverse needs and interests of the communities served by WYSU-FM. Members will be selected to represent the six counties in the WYSU listening area, various age groups, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
People who are interested in becoming a member may submit an application email to the station Director.
Meetings
The CAB meets two to three times a year. Special meetings may be called when necessary. The CAB will establish sub-committees as necessary.
Structure
The station director, assistant director, and coordinator will participate in CAB meetings to make presentations and answer questions. Other staff members will participate as topics warrant.
Next Meeting
Thursday, March 20, 2025, 4:00 pm, WYSU Conference Room.
