YSU Department of Art presents an exhibition by faculty of staff from Thursday, March 5 through Friday, April 10 in the Judith Rae Solomon Gallery in Bliss Hall. Each piece in the exhibition was created using the department's own Risograph, demonstrating both the artistic vision of faculty and staff and innovative printmaking. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.
Lit Youngstown presents a six session writing through grief workshop with writer and teacher Alex Abruzzi on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm from April 2 through May 14 at the Girard Library. Sessions will include group poetry readings, peer-led discussion, thought-provoking prompts, and the opportunity to share work. The Youngstown Skatepark Association and the City of Youngstown Community Development Division present a free community pop-up skatepark at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre in Wean Park on Friday, April 10 from 12:00pm-6:00pm, designed for riders of all skill levels on skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, in-line skates, and roller skates. The Trumbull New Theater presents the show "Storm Warning" weekends from Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 22. with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm. The theater is located at 5883 Youngstown Warren Rd in Niles. Set in cottage country in 1963, Jack Forrester, a damaged World War II vet, has retreated from life. "Silent Sky" by Lauren Gunderson tells the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt and explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific and heart-bound discoveries. Discover the impressive observatories in Chile, the people who run them, and the exciting discoveries uncovered from these world-class telescopes. This show includes alive star talk about the Southern Hemisphere sky. All planetarium shows are free with seating being first come, first served.

The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents the program, "One World, One Sky" every Saturday in March at 2:00pm. Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Hu Zhu take viewers on an exciting discovery of the Sun, Moon, and stars. They learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star and take an imaginary trip to the Moon. All planetarium shows are free with seating being first come, first served.
