The Butler Institute of American Art presents the exhibition Chuck Olson: Paintings 2010-2024, Sunday, March 23 through Sunday, May 18. Olson was the chairman and professor of fine art at the Saint Francis University, in Loreto, Pennsylvania. He has had numerous one-person and group exhibitions from Pittsburgh to New York City, and internationally in France, Italy, and Germany. More information at butlerart.com.

The Medici (meh DEE chee) Museum of Art presents Mirages, an exhibition by Canadian artist Alex Garant, running through April 5th. A trailblazer in contemporary figurative op art, Garant's oil paintings blend graphic elements with traditional portraiture techniques. The Trumbull County Historical Society & Medici (meh DEE chee) Museum of Art present Science Fiction & Hollywood: The Art of John Zabrucky, an exhibition showcasing modern props designed by Zabrucky now on display at the Medici Museum of Art through June 28th. An American prop designer and co-founder of Modern Props Inc., Zabrucky contributed props to hundreds of films such as Ghostbusters and RoboCop, as well as films and TV series in the Star Trek, Marvel, and DC franchises. Audubon/Mahoning Valley is holding its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 25, at the Austintown Senor Center, 112 Westchester Drive. Social time starts at 6:30 pm, and the program starts at 7:00. Andy & Erin Avram will present the program A Brazilian Wildlife Adventure. Brazil has the third most bird species of the world’s countries, the largest river, and largest tropical wetland complex. The meeting is free and open to all.
