The Butler Institute of American Art presents Senior Art & Learn, the third Thursday of every month, through November. This free event is for adults 55+ who are interested in learning more about the art in our museum. The Medici (meh DEE chee) Museum of Art presents Mirages, an exhibition by Canadian artist Alex Garant, running through April 5th. A trailblazer in contemporary figurative op art, Garant's oil paintings blend graphic elements with traditional portraiture techniques. The Trumbull County Historical Society & Medici (meh DEE chee) Museum of Art present Science Fiction & Hollywood: The Art of John Zabrucky, an exhibition showcasing modern props designed by Zabrucky now on display at the Medici Museum of Art through June 28th. An American prop designer and co-founder of Modern Props Inc., Zabrucky contributed props to hundreds of films such as Ghostbusters and RoboCop, as well as films and TV series in the Star Trek, Marvel, and DC franchises. Dr. Linda Gordon will deliver a talk on The Much Misunderstood Women’s Liberation Movement. The event is free and open to the public.
Linda Gordon is a professor of history and a University Professor of the Humanities at New York University. Her early books focused on the historical roots of social policy issues, particularly as they concern gender and family issues. Her recent books include: The Great Arizona Orphan Abduction (1999) and the biography of great photographer Dorothea Lange (2009), both of which won the Bancroft Prize for best book in US history; Impounded (2008); Feminism Unfinished (2015); The Second Coming of the KKK (2017). She is one of only three historians to have won the Bancroft Prize twice.

The YSU Department of Art presents the 88th Annual Juried Student Art & Design Exhibition.
The juried show is a yearly tradition that features works by students who have taken classes in the Department of Art during the 2024-25 academic year. Award categories for the event include ceramics, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, digital media, and graphic and interactive design.
The event will be held on March 21, 5:30PM, at McDonough Museum of Art. Entry to this exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information, call 330.941.2307
Mill Creek MetroParks presents Mushroom Meander 101, on Friday March 21st at 6:00 pm at the Ford Education Building in the park. Follow along as Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Gary Davenport shares insights and information about local mushrooms and their roles in nature. The Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle presents "The Chi-Town Transit Authority" on Friday, March 21st, at 7:00 pm. Chi-Town Transit Authority is an 8-piece Chicago Tribute band dedicated to reproducing the “Chicago” concert experience.
