Lit Youngstown presents, "Just Desserts: A Lit Winter Evening," featuring jazz musicians Dave Kana, Glenn Schaft, Mark DeWalt; a literary-themed costume contest; celebrity bartenders; poetry by Kortney Morrow and Philip Terman; plus, charcuterie desserts, and a golden ticket raffle on Friday, January 30, at Culturati Studios at 350 E Federal St in Youngstown. Doors open at 6:15 with the evening beginning at 7:00. Tickets are available at lityoungstown.org
YSU's Ward Beecher Planetarium presents the program, "Explore Our Universe" on Saturday, January 24 at 2:00pm, and Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 at 8:00pm. Join The Ward Beecher Planetarium on the Starship Ward Beecher as they embark on a grand tour of our universe real time, with opportunities to influence where we travel and what we discover. All planetarium shows are free with seating being first come, first served.

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society Presents: This is Youngstown, a photo documentary project celebrating the Hispanic Community by Tony Nicholas, through February 1st, at the Tyler History Center, in downtown Youngstown. The Tyler History Center is open Tuesdays -Sundays, Noon - 4:00 pm.
The Ward Beecher Planetarium presents the program, "Legends: Orion" on every Saturday at 2:00pm from January 31 through February 21. Aesop the owl continues his journey in a light-hearted adventure as you look at the Greek mythology associated with some of our constellations. This includes stories behind Orion the hunter, and Scorpio the scorpion! All planetarium shows are free with seating being first come, first served.

Lit Youngstown's First Wednesday Reader Series presents Cleveland poets Conor Bracken & Lindsay Turner on Wednesday, February 4 at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave. Jenny Tullis will co-host with an open mic to follow. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs. Meagan Albani will provide ASL interpretation. The event is free and open to all.

The Youngstown Branch of the American Association of University Women presents the program, “Women in Pants!?: Bicycles, Bloomers, and the New Woman of the 1890s,” on Saturday, February 7, from 11:00am - 1:00pm at the United Way Volunteer Resource Center, at 8133 Market Street, Boardman. Chiara Power, Collections Manager of the Massillon Museum will discuss how the popularity of the bicycle and the new need for the bloomer suite for women increased mobility given to women and incited concerns around morality and health. This event is free and open to the public.
