The Millennial Theatre Company presents the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat weekends from Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 20, with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm, at the Youngstown Playhouse. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. The Cleveland Orchestra presents Carl Orff’s colossal work, Carmina Burana (car-MEEN-uh bur-AHN-uh), at the Blossom Music Center on Saturday, July 12th, at 7:00 pm. The Cleveland Orchestra performs alongside the Blossom Festival Chorus and The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus, plus a roster of internationally celebrated soloists. The Youngstown Wine & Jazz Festival takes place on Saturday, July 12, at 7:00 pm, at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheater, in Wean Park, in downtown Youngstown. Invisible Woman LLC presents the Harlem Renaissance Art Gala, on Thursday, July 17, at 6:00 pm., at the elegant Concept Studio in the John R. Davis Building, in Youngstown. Harlem Renaissance Art Gala will feature live jazz, curated artwork from local and regional artists, and a powerful tribute to the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance. There will also be a fine art auction, specialty cocktails, and opportunities to connect with community leaders, artists, and change-makers. The Mercer Community Band presents the concert The Next Generation, on Friday, July 18 at the Mercer County Courthouse Square. The duo Justified open the evening at 5:30 pm, and the band takes the stage at 7:00 pm. The band will feature vocal soloists Katelyn Powell and Colt Garrett, and euphonium soloist Aidan Schreck. The concert is free but you will need to bring your own lawn chair.
In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held at the Mercer High School Auditorium.
