The Trumbull County Historical Society & Medici (meh DEE chee) Museum of Art present Science Fiction & Hollywood: The Art of John Zabrucky, an exhibition showcasing modern props designed by Zabrucky now on display at the Medici Museum of Art through June 28th. An American prop designer and co-founder of Modern Props Inc., Zabrucky contributed props to hundreds of films such as Ghostbusters and RoboCop, as well as films and TV series in the Star Trek, Marvel, and DC franchises. The next meeting of the local chapter of American Association of University Women (AAUW) is on Wednesday, May 7, at 5:30 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown, 1105 Elm Street. Policy Matters Ohio Executive Director Hannah Halbert, will be speaking on the topic Everything All At Once: How the Ohio legislature is flooding the zone. The meeting is free and open to all.
As Ohioans face growing economic uncertainty driven by chaotic federal policy, the Ohio House has put forward a budget that harms children and parents, underfunds schools, upends programs that stabilize household budgets, and botches an attempt to address rising property taxes. The state Senate now has an opportunity to ensure some measure of economic security and set Ohio on a better path.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral presents The Mystical Arts of Tibet: Sacred Music, Sacred Chants, on Friday May 9th, 9:30 - 11:00 am, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle.
