The Mahoning Valley Historical Society presents its 16th-Annual Memories of Christmas Past Exhibit, at Arms Family Museum, on Wick Avenue, in Youngstown, from November 16 to December 31, Noon - 4 pm, everyday except Mondays and national holidays. The Illuminare Choral Ensemble presents I Was Glad, a concert of awe-inspiring sacred choral music, on Sunday, November 24, at 4:30 pm, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Allison Park, PA. Music director Jon Simsic leads this ensemble that is composed of singers drawn from the greater Youngstown area. The a cappella program will feature chant as well as compositions by Orlando De Lassus, Thomas Tallis, Anton Bruckner, and others.

The Youngstown playhouse presents the show, The Thanksgiving Play, weekends Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 24, with evening performances at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday matinee at 2:30 pm. The Audubon Society of Mahoning Valley will host their monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:00pm at the Austintown Senior Center. On the eve of the 50th anniversary of Cuyahoga National Park, outdoor enthusiast and NPS volunteer, Eric Broviak will share the story of Ohio's only national park. The event is free and open to the public.
