Lit Youngstown: Emancipation Day: African American History Tour
Lit Youngstown presents Emancipation Day: African American History Tour, on Saturday, September 6, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, at the Tyler History Center, in downtown Youngstown. This free event features historian Vince Shivers, special guests historian Sean Posey, genealogist Stacey Adger, and Civil War re-enactor Steffon Jones. Native Youngstown poet Cherise Benton will lend a contemporary voice to the event. This tour is organized by Lit Youngstown, Vince Shivers and the Tyler History Center, with support from the Raymond J. Wean Foundation and Sojourn to the Past.
Seating is limited to 100 participants.
