The Youngstown Playhouse presents the play Here on the Flight Path, weekends from Friday, May 10th to Sunday, May 19th with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. Here on the Flight Path, by Norm Foster, is a cute comedy about a man named John who wants to live a nice, quiet life in his fourth-floor apartment. The Butler Institute of American Art presents a solo exhibition by artist and Cleveland native Matthew Schreiber consisting of light-based artwork, including laser light sculpture and holography. More information is available on the Butler's new website at 'Butler Art dot com'.
The New Music Guild presents its free Festival Gala Concert on Sunday, May 19, at 3 pm, at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington Street, in Youngstown. Pianist Thomas Osuga (OH suh guh) and violinist Dr. Sho Omagari (Oh muh GAHR ee) will perform works by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Yolanda Adams and more! The Festival Chamber Orchestra will perform works by Brahms, Polish composer Mieczyslaw (MIH shih slawf) Karlowicz (CAR low its); Kent composer Wanda Sobieska (SOH bee ES kee), and Robert Rollin.
The Illuminare (ee loom ee NAHR eh) Choral Ensemble presents three free concerts in May: Sunday, May 19 at 4:00 pm at the historic St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park; Saturday, May 25 at 7:30 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Warren; and Sunday, May 26 at 4:00 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church/Holy Spirit Parish in New Castle. This a cappella program features compositions by Thomas Tallis, Anton Bruckner, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Heitor Villa-Lobos and others.

The Trumbull Art Gallery presents the exhibition, Make Things Stick, an exploration of stitching + painting + assemblage, Saturday, May 18 - Friday, June 21, at the Gallery, 158 North Park Street, in Warren.
