Army Lays Out Case Against Officer on Haditha
Military prosecutors open their case against Marine Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, who is accused of failing to report the deaths of 24 Iraqi civilians in November 2005. The Iraqis allegedly were killed by members of a Marine squad near the town of Haditha in the wake of an IED attack on a Marine convoy.

Russian Spy Blames MI6 for Litvinenko's Death
The man British authorities charged with poisoning former KGB officer Alexander Litvinenko has responded with his own accusations. Andrei Lugovoi, another former KGB officer, says Litvinenko was a British agent trying to get compromising materials about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
