Morgan Bukovec is the YSU McDonough Museum of Art Emerging Artist for spring 2024. His mixed media solo exhibition, titled "are you on the menu", is view through Saturday, March 2. Bukovec will honor the “share your story” interactive wall responses from the viewing audience, thus symbolizing an affirmation of “I hear you; I see you” and reinforcing a connectivity of shared experience, this Wednesday, February 28, at 5:30 pm, at the museum.

This series of work is the result of the past decade of her work in the service industry. Each remark, command, and question are quotes taken from my experiences as a server, with male customers. This series is a personal release, and a way to gain ownership over the words said to me by men. It is the acknowledgement of language that perpetuates sexism, microaggressions, and sexual harassment spoken and heard not only in the workplace but in all spaces.
