State of the Union 2018 Live Video

President Donald Trump is scheduled to give his first State of the Union address on January 30th, 2018, to a joint session of Congress. One year into the Trump administration, the Speaker of the House has extended the traditional invitation to the president to "take account of the progress we have made" and "lay out the work that still remains to be done."

The WYSU video feed and annotation of the 2018 State of the Union address has ended.

Still Time to Get Mad Tickets Mailed to You!

On Friday, February 2, WYSU and the McDonough Museum of Art at Youngstown State University will host Mad About the Arts! If you have been there, you know it is great gathering.

Mad tickets are $80 each, with a $65 price for all WYSU and McDonough supporting members, YSU staff, students, and faculty, and for graduates of the YSU College of Creative Arts and Communication (formerly Fine and Performing Arts). While tickets can no longer be purchased online, we will also have some for sale at the door. But get yours now -- availability is limited.

Monday, January 22, The City Club of the Mahoning Valley presents "Marching for a Movement: Reflections on the 2017 Women’s March and Next Steps for Equality". The free event is at 7pm at Suzie's Dogs & Drafts, 34 N. Phelps Street in Youngstown.

TIcket are available at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown for a lecture by Cokie Roberts. The NPR commentator will speak at Stambaugh at 7 p.m. on Thursday,  January 11.  Tickets are $10.
