NPR's Carl Kasell Dies At 84

Most recently known for his role as judge and scorekeeper on the popular quiz show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!  Carl Kasell got his first on-air job at age 16.  He went on to anchor NPR's newscasts and became one of the network's most recognized voices.

Tickets on Sale for Cokie Roberts

TIcket are available at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown for a lecture by Cokie Roberts. The NPR commentator will speak at Stambaugh at 7 p.m. on Thursday,  January 11.  Tickets are $10.

End of the Road for Car Talk

The ever-popular program Car Talk has a long tradition on the air at WYSU and on public radio across the country – but that will come to an end this fall. After September 30, 2017, weekly production of the Best of Car Talk programs will end. Host Ray Magliozzi, the Car Talk staff and NPR made this decision after a lot of thought and consultation with key station personnel, programmers, researchers, and of course, listeners.
