WYSU Blossom Bus Trip

Stambaugh Auditorium: Outdoor Summer Concert Series: The Vindys and JD Eicher

Stambaugh Auditorium begins its summer concert series, Bands at the Baugh: After Dark, with The Vindies and JD Eicher, on Thursday, June 21, at 7 pm, in the Stambaugh Garden, on Fifth Avenue in Youngstown.  The Vindys provide a unique blend of pop, jazz, and rock in their music. Tickets and information at stambaughauditorium.com.  WYSU members who present their Need to Know card get in for free!

Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens: Spring Garden Plants

The Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens presents their annual plant sale, on Thursday, May 11th from 4-7 pm, a members's preview night; then Friday 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday 10 am - 3 pm, at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. High quality plants for gardens of all types will be available.  Experts will be on hand with gardening tips. Guided tours through the gardens will be provided on Saturday. 

Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center: Villa Maria-thon 5k

The Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center, 2067 Evergreen Road, in Villa Maria, Pennsylvania, will host its 7th annual Villa Maria-thon 5K run and 2 mile walk, on Saturday, June 3 at 9:00 am. The event is scheduled rain or shine on the grounds of Villa Maria Community Center. Registration tables open at 7:30 am. Prizes will be awarded for runners in all age groups and overall. YSU Summer Festival of the Arts: Artist Applications

The 20th Annual YSU Summer Festival of the Arts will be held at and around Youngstown State University, Saturday and Sunday, July 7th and 8th. Artist applications for the juried fine art show are now available online at ysu.edu/sfa.


First Night Youngstown 2016: New Year's Eve Celebration

First Night Youngstown 2016 Celebration takes place on New Year's Eve from 4:00 pm to Midnight, in downtown Youngstown. This event will include family and children's activities, live theatrical and musical entertainment, with fireworks at 9:00 pm and Midnight. Youngstown Road Runners: Jingle Bell Run

The Youngstown Road Runners present the Jingle Bell 5K Race, on Saturday, on December 31 at 1:00 pm at the Canfield Fairgrounds. There is also a Kids Run is at 12:45. Twas the Night Before 5k Race

The fourth annual Twas the Night Before 5k Race runs through the Joy of Christmas light show in Historic Firestone Park in Columbiana, on Wednesday, December 14. Registration begins at 4:30pm in Pavilion #1. The race begins at 6:00 pm. Runners get treated to hot soup and other treats at the finish line. Mrs. Claus will be available for the selfie booth photos.
