The Ohio Music Education Association: District 5 Honors Jazz Ensembles Concert

The Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) presents the District 5 Honors Jazz Ensembles Concert in the Ford Recital Hall at the DeYor Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 21st at 2 pm. The three Honors Jazz Ensembles are made up of some of the best music students in grades 7 through 12 from Ashtabula, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties. Apollo's Fire Baroque Orchestra: Muse of Fire

The Baroque Orchestra Apollo's Fire presents the concert Muse of Fire on Thursday, February 2nd at 7:30 pm in Akron; Friday, February 3rd at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, February 4th at 8 pm in Cleveland Heights; and Sunday, February 5th at 4 pm at Rocky River Presbyterian. Lakeside Society for the Performing Arts: Pipe Organ Festival

The Lakeside Society for the Performing Arts presents organist Joshua Stafford performing on Friday, January 27 at 7:00 pm, concluding the 2023 Bud Hill Memorial Pipe Organ Festival, which takes palce from Tuesday, January 24 through Friday, 27, at Lakeside High School, 6600 Sanborn Road, in Ashtabula. The Recital is open to the public and presented free of admission. The Festival, celebrating the 100th birthday of the organ and its 10-Year Anniversary in Ashtabula, will include a variety of activities.


Canton Symphony Orchestra: Scheherazade

The Canton Symphony, continuing its 85th season on Sunday, January 22nd at 7 pm in Umstattd [UM-sted] Hall with the concert Scheherazade [shuh-hair-uh-ZAHD]. Pianist Sheng Cai [SHENG KAI] joins the orchestra to perform Saint-Saëns' [sa-SAHNS] 5th Piano Concerto "The Egyptian." The Millennial Theatre Company: Avenue Q
