Opera Western Reserve: 2018 Performance of Madama Butterfly on YouTube

Opera Western Reserve and Stambaugh Auditorium are presenting a YouTube broadcast of the 2018 Opera Western Reserve Performance of Giacomo Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly, on Friday, May 29th, a 7 pm.  This performance is directed by David Vosburgh and and music is directed by Susan Davenny Wyner.  Featured  singers are Marian Vogel as Butterfly and Jesus Daniel Hernandez as Pinkerton.  Links can be found on WYSU's Community Calendar at wysu.org in this PSA on May 29.

Stambaugh Chorus: 2016 Spring Concert on Zoom

Canton Symphony Orchestra: 2020-2021 MasterWorks Season

The Canton Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2020-2021 MasterWorks season. In honor of Music Director, Gerhardt Zimmermann's 40th season with the Symphony, they will be celebrating appropriately with some of his favorites. St. John's Episcopal Church and WYSU-FM: Burning River Baroque: Witches:Revered and Reviled

St. John's Episcopal Church and WYSU-FM present Witches:Revered and Reviled, a concert featuring Burning River Baroque, on Friday, July 10, at 7:00 pm, at St. John's church, on Wick Avenue, in Youngstown.  Burning River Baroque creates Baroque music programs that inspire dialogue about contemporary social issues. Witches: Revered and Reviled explores repertoire that tells the stories of Circe, the Witch of Endor, and the Furies, in a broad range of national styles and traditions of the 17th century.

Opera Western Reserve: Verdi's La Traviata

Opera Western Reserve presents Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata, on Friday, November 13 at 7:30 pm, in Stambaugh Auditorium, on Fifth Avenue, in Youngstown. The opera features some of Verdi's most beautiful arias, and is his most performed opera. Tickets available at stambaughauditorium.com.

YSU Dana School of Music: Violinist Joseph Kromholz

YSU Dana School of Music presents YSU professor of violin Joseph Kromholz performing Johann Sebastian Bach's complete works for solo violin over two recitals this weekend -- The Sonatas, this evening at7:30; and The Partitas, on Sunday, March 1, at 3 pm. Both recitals take place in the Bliss Recital Hall, on Wick Avenue, on the YSU campus.
