YSU Black History Month: Movie Night: Green Book

YSU Black History Month presents a screening of Green Book on Thursday, February 21st at 6:30 pm at Cafaro House on the campus of Youngstown State University. Green Book follows the story of a world class Black pianist and his driver, a bouncer from the Bronx, as they navigate the deep South relying on "The Green Book" to guide them to the few establishments that are safe for African-Americans.

YSU Black History Month: All Me: The Life and Times of Winifred Rembert

YSU Black History Month presents a special screening of All Me: The Life and Times of Winifred Rembert on Sunday, February 3rd at 2:00 pm in the Zona Auditorium, in the Butler Museum of American Art. This screening is presented in conjunction with Southern Roots: The Paintings of Winfred Rembert exhibition at the Butler.

Lakeside Society for Performing Arts: Silent Fiilm: The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Lakeside Society for the Performing Arts presents the 1923 Silent Film The Hunchback of Notre Dame, on October 26th at 7:00 PM, in the Lakeside High School Performing Arts Center, 6600 Sanborn Road, Ashtabula.  The film will be accompanied by renowned theatre organist David Wickerham.  Ticket available at the door.

The YSU Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences presents a screening of the film We The People 2.0, a movie about the loss of democracy in the United States and how people are saving nature and themselves by regaining their rights to local lawmaking. This free event will take place on Thursday, September 27th, at 7:00 pm, in room B112 of Cushwa Hall, on the campus of Youngstown State University.

YSU Energy Lecture Series: Living the Change Film Screening and Discussion

The YSU Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences presents a screening of the film Living the Change, a film that explores solutions to many of today’s challenges through the stories of people who changed their own lives and their communities to live in a sustainable and regenerative way. The screening will be followed by a Skype discussion with the film's producers, Antoinette Wilson of New Zealand and Jordan Osmond of Australia.
