WYSU Blossom Bus Trip

WYSU is sponsoring a Bus Trip to the Blossom Music Festival  on Saturday evening, July 22.  The Cleveland Orchestra will perform Dvorak's New World Symphony, and works by Rossini and Paganini.  Tickets and more information at wysu.org or 330-941-3363.


Howland Farmers Market: Summer Opening

The Howland Farmers' Market is open on Saturdays, 9 am - 1 pm, at the Richard E. Orwig Park, located at the intersection of East Market Street and Willow Drive North East.  The kick-off on June 10 will feature "Kids Can Cook," a cooking demo, and live music.  Oh WOW! will hold a safe bottle rocket demonstration, and Grow/Taste/Like It will help children to pot vegetable plants.  

Westminster College: A Spring Music Festival: A Friends of Music Gala Concert

Westminster College presents "A Spring Music Festival: A Friends of Music Gala Concert" on Friday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium at Westminster College. There will be performances from the Westminster College Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Singers, and Westminster College Symphony Orchestra. The music festival is free and open to all.

YSU Flute Society: 24th Annual YSU Flute Festival

The 24th Annual YSU Flute Festival takes place on Saturday, March 15, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, in the Bliss Recital Hall, on the YSU campus.  Feature special guest artist is Marianne Gedigian, Professor of Flute at The University of Texas. This event includes masterclasses, exhibitors, and concerts. YSU Summer Festival of the Arts: Artist Applications

The 20th Annual YSU Summer Festival of the Arts will be held at and around Youngstown State University, Saturday and Sunday, July 7th and 8th. Artist applications for the juried fine art show are now available online at ysu.edu/sfa.


First Night Youngstown 2016: New Year's Eve Celebration

First Night Youngstown 2016 Celebration takes place on New Year's Eve from 4:00 pm to Midnight, in downtown Youngstown. This event will include family and children's activities, live theatrical and musical entertainment, with fireworks at 9:00 pm and Midnight. YSU Dana School of Music: Music at Noon at the Butler

The YSU Dana School of Music and the Butler Institute of American Art present the Music at Noon concert series every Wednesday at 12:15 pm, at the Butler. Student participants from the Northeast Ohio Keyboard Festival will perform on Wednesday, October 5. 6th Ward Citizens Coalition: SouthSide YouthFest

The 6th Ward Citizens Coalition of Youngstown is holding a YouthFest on Saturday October 1st from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., in Youngstown. YSU Hispanic Heritage Planning Committee: Hispanic Heritage Celebration

The YSU Hispanic Heritage Planning Committee presents Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Saturday, October 8, noon - 3:00 pm. There will be musical entertainment, dance performances, children's activities, cultural displays, student awards, vendors, information tables, and ethnic refreshments. Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau: Harvey S Firestone Park Festival of the Arts

The Harvey S. Firestone Park Festival of the Arts will be held held Saturday, August 6, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, at Firestone Recreation Park in Columbiana. At this event will be handmade craft vendors, antique dealers, food concessions, a vintage tractor show and live local entertainment. Admission is free.
