YSU Department of Theatre & Dance: Guest Artist John Covach

The YSU Dana School of Music presents a guest lecture by John Covach from the Eastman School of Music, on Friday, September 30, at 4:00 pm, in the Bliss Recital hall on the YSU campus. Covach has published dozens of articles on topics dealing with popular music, twelve-tone music, and the philosophy and aesthetics of music.

OCCHA: 44th Annual Fundraiser Gala

OCCHA's 44th Annual Gala is set for Friday, November 4, 5:30 pm - 11:00 pm at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market Street, in Boardman. YSU Hispanic Heritage Planning Committee: Hispanic Heritage Celebration

The YSU Hispanic Heritage Planning Committee presents Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Saturday, October 8, noon - 3:00 pm. Southside Fine Arts Academy Summer Programming

The Southside Fine Arts Academy will hold their summer sessions in the fine arts Tuesday, July 19th through Tuesday, August 23rd, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road. The classes are open to all children in the Youngstown area, free of charge. Classes include dance and movement, visual arts, creative writing/poetry, creative listening activities and drum circles. United Eastern Lenape Nation: Healing Mother Earth 8th Annual Native American Powwow

The United Eastern Lenape (leh-NAH-pi) Nation is proud to present their 8th annual Healing Mother Earth Native American Powwow, Friday. August 5 through Sunday, August 7, at Fischer’s Pine Lake, 3796 Maple Road, in Jefferson, Ohio. The Powwow includes dancing, drums, native crafts, vendors, and storytelling. The Grand Entry is at noon each day, the Flags Retreat is at 6:00 pm. Drums and Dancers are welcome to participate.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church: St. Nicholas Greek Summerfest

The St. Nicholas Greek Summerfest takes place on Thursday, July 7, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm; Friday& Saturday July 8 & 9, 11:00 am - 11:00 pm; and Sunday, July 10, noon - 6:00 pm.
