October is Support WYSU Month – Contribute Today!

Support WYSU Month

Due to the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic, and to keep our volunteers, students, and staff safe, WYSU will not be conducting a traditional membership drive this fall. Instead, we will be asking for your support throughout the month of October, encouraging online contributions. There will be minimal interruptions of our programming, with reminders airing during regularly scheduled program breaks about the importance of listener support for non-commercial, public radio. The station’s goal is to hear from 1,000 donors by the end of October. To become one of those donors CLICK HERE.

As part of the station’s month-long fundraising efforts, listeners can contribute to WYSU by sponsoring Station Director Gary Sexton’s Fund Run on October 25th.

Gary turned 65 this year, and on Monday, October 25, during Support WYSU Month, he plans on running his age -- 65 miles on the Greater Allegheny Passage – in support of local public radio. You can sponsor his run, by donating a dollar amount per mile that Gary runs. Click here for details.

New Thank You Gifts this fall! A new WYSU Ceramic Mug is available as a thank you gift this fall for a donation of $60 or more, and for a contribution of $120 or more, donors can choose between a new WYSU ball cap, or a new WYSU Winter Hat with Pom Pom. Information about all of the station’s fall thank you gifts is available HERE.

88.5 WYSU has provided more than 50 years of public radio for northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania, and more than 50 years of high quality news and information, and music programming. You can help ensure local public radio continues for another 50-plus years by making a contributing during Support WYSU Month. WYSU can only continue to do this if our listeners are with us. Just 1 in 18 WYSU listeners are members.

This October, support 88.5 WYSU-FM, Radio You Need to Know!
