The YSU Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series: Into the Woods

The YSU Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series, the Dana School of Music, and the YSU Department of Theater & Dance present Into the Woods, a musical based on tales by the Brothers Grimm that warns the audience, "Be careful what you wish for!" Into the Woods will be performed weekends from Friday, April 12th through Saturday, April 20, with evening performances at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday, April 14 matinee at 2:00 pm, in the Ford Theater at Bliss Hall, on the campus of Youngstown State University. The YSU Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series presents Voicescapes Audio Theater's the audio drama Granny's Cookies, on Sunday, November 4th, at 2:00 PM, in the Ford Family Recital Hall at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in Youngstown. Voice actors, directors and sound engineers collaborate to perform the story of Granny's Cookies, the best cookies you'll ever eat, that owe their deliciousness to their "secret ingredient." The YSU Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series presents the Huber Marionettes show Suspended Animation (Behind the Strings), a series of vignettes selected from the Huber Marionettes Characters cast. Mill Creek MetroParks: Shakespeare in the Park: Julius Ceasar

Selah Dessert Theater and Lit Youngstown: The Strand Project

Selah Dessert Theater and Lit Youngstown presents The Strand Project, a collection of original monologues compiled in to a 90-minute theatrical production, at Selah Restaurant in Struthers, on Friday, and Saturday June 1, and 2; and Friday and Saturday, June 8 and  June 9, at 8:00 pm.   This year’s production features the work of nine local writers.
