YSU Department of Art Lecture Series: Diana Cooper

The YSU Department of Art presents a lecture by Diana Cooper, a contemporary artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday, October 24, at 5:00 pm, in the McDonough Museum, on the YSU campus.  Cooper is best known for her hybrid works combining drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and installation.

The YSU Department of Theater & Dance presents the Festival of New Work, Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, at 7:00 pm, in the Spotlight Theater, in Bliss Hall, on the YSU campus.  The Festival of New Works highlights and honors student creativity in playwriting, choreography, designing, filmmaking, directing, and acting. Featuring short plays, films, musical theater & dance choreography, devised work, and PUPPETS! 

YSU Department of Theater & Dance: Dance Ensemble in Concert

YSU Department of Theater & Dance presents the YSU Dance Ensemble in Concert, on Thursday, February 28, Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 pm, in Bliss Hall's Ford Theater, on the YSU campus.  This concert will showcase student choreographers and performers in a variety of genres from Ballet and Modern to Tap and Jazz. 

YSU Department of Theater and Dance: Ten-Minute Plays

The YSU Department of Theater and Dance presents the seventh annual Evening of Ten-Minute plays. The student directors will explore the foundations of story-telling and develop their skills in working with student actors on their scripts. This production will be presented on Sunday, December 9th, at 7:00 pm, in Bliss Hall's Spotlight Theater, on the YSU campus.

The YSU Department of Theater & Dance presents the 1998 Pulitzer Prize winning play How I Learned to Drive, By Paula Vogel, this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 2:00 pm, in the Bliss Hall Spotlight Theater, on the YSU campus.  Tickets available at ysu.tix.com. [How I Learned to Drive is a tale of survival, a sexual coming of age through the '60s, '70s and '80s as seen through the lens of a troubling relationship between a young girl and an older man.]
