McDonough Museum of Art: Kelli Connell / Double Life: Fifteen Years

YSU’s McDonough Museum of Art presents Double Life - Fifteen Years, exploring the complex nature of relationships, by photographer Kelli Connell, from Friday, September 8 through Friday, November 3. [The public reception and gallery talk begin at 5 pm on Friday, September 8th.]  More information at 330-941-1400.  The Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11 am-4 pm. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

McDonough Museum of Art: Salon de Fleurus Exhibition

YSU’s McDonough Museum of Art presents Salon de Fleurus (fluh-rooce), a contemporary reconstruction of Gertrude Stein’s Parisian salon and gathering space. The exhibit runs from Friday, September 8 through Friday, November 3. [There is a public reception on Friday, September 8, 5 -7 pm at the Museum.] Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11 am-4 pm. The exhibition and reception is free and open to the public.

Arms Family Museum - From Homefront to Western Front: Life During World War One

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society presents the exhibit From Homefront to Western Front: Life During WWI, at the Arms Family Museum, on Wick Avenue, in Youngstown.  The exhibit, which explores many local connections to World War I, including artifacts, clothing, and images, will be on display through Sunday, November 19.

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society presents the Young Historians Summer Day Camp, Monday, July 24 - Friday, July 28, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm each day. Participants will explore the MVHS archival collections , and they will work closely together to create videos, blog posts, or small exhibits. Youngstown Art Walk

YWCA Youngstown is presenting the 35th annual art show, Women Artists:  A Celebration, free and open to the public, 12 - 4 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, through July 28.  YWCA is joined by other galleries - Soap, McDonough, Museum of Steel and Industry, St. John's Episcopal Church, and Jewish Community Center - for an art walk Friday, July 7, 4 - 7 pm, including refreshments and chance at a prize.
