Stambaugh Chorus: We Rise Again Concert

The Stambaugh Chorus is presenting We Rise Again, its first in-person concert since December of 2019 on Saturday, June 5 at 7:30 pm at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Under the direction of Dr. Hae-Jong (HAY-JONG) Lee, the Chorus will be joined by the Pittsburgh area Avonworth High School Chamber Singers and Barbershop Quartet, and the Youngstown Cantorum. This concert is open to the public, with free-will donations accepted. 

Warwood United Methodist Church: Free Day Camp

Warwood United Methodist Church presents a free day camp, from Monday, June 7 - Thursday, June 10, for children grades K-5 in Warwood's Garden Park.  There will be games, bible studies, crafts and many other activities.  Campers will receive free breakfast, lunch, and snacks every day. World Press Freedom Day to be observed at YSU

The Youngstown Press Club will observe World Press Freedom Day at noon May 3 in Youngstown State University’s Kilcawley Center. During the observance, which will be streamed on the Youngstown Press Club Facebook group page, press club members will read the names of 50 journalists killed while serving their communities in 2020 and five additional journalists killed so far this year.

YSU Legacy Forest Program: Earth Day Tree Dedication

The YSU Legacy Forests Program presents the Earth Day Tree Dedication for the 2020 Freshmen Class Tree, on Thursday, April 22, at 2 pm, on the west side of Tod Hall on the YSU campus.  Every year, the YSU Legacy Forests program will plant trees equal to the number of incoming freshmen.  A sign-up list for members of the campus community to participate in the next tree planting will be available at this dedication.
