Annual Honoring Our Ancestors Intertribal Powwow

The Annual Honoring Our Ancestors Intertribal Powwow takes place on Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21, at the Ashtabula Antique Engine Club Grounds, 4026 US 322, Williamsfield, Ohio. Gates and vendors open daily 10 am to 6 pm. The grand entry is at noon. There will be Native American food, vendors, history, and storytelling! Drums by Rapid River Drum and Clear Water Cherokee Drum. More information at uelnation.org.

Memorial Mile 2016

The 26th Annual Memorial Mile takes place on Monday, May 30th, beginning at Market Street and 224 in Boardman. Registration and packet pick up begins at 8:00 am. There are two races, with the first beginning at 9:35 am and the second at 9:55. Registration forms available at Walgreens at Market Street and 224, and also at local running stores. Stepping Stones to a Better Tomorrow Day Camp

Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home & Zion Lutheran Church are holding "Stepping Stones to a Better Tomorrow", a day camp for children grieving the loss of a loved one. The camp will be on Thursday, June 11th and Friday, June 12th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Cornersburg. The camp will provide crafts and individual/small group sharing, with refreshments and a lunch provided. YWCA of Youngstown: Women Artists: A Celebration!

The Links, Inc. Youngstown Chapter: Fertilizing the Dream

The Links, Inc. Youngstown Chapter presents "Fertilizing the Dream: A Community Forum on Youth Literacy," on Saturday, May 30, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, at the Jewish Community Center on Gypsy Lane in Youngstown. This is a panel discussion on the unique factors within the Mahoning Valley contributing to the achievement gap that exists between those that are socioeconomically secure, and those that are the most vulnerable. Mahoning County: The Hope Conference

The Hope Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, May 13th, from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, at YSU's Kilcawley center, is a collaboration of Mahoning County agencies that assist returning citizens and others in need with the process of regaining their life and livelihood. There is no cost for this event and everyone is welcome to attend. Some of the Resources that will be available on sight are: Child Support Housing Assistance, Criminal Record Modification Opportunities, BMV, and much more.

A Night Out At The Gardens

The Friends of Fellow Riverside Gardens: Family Fun Friday
