AAUW: Staying Relevant: Positive Organizational Responses to the Mahoning Valley’s Transformation
The Youngstown Chapter of The American Association of University Women present the program Staying Relevant: Positive Organizational Responses to the Mahoning Valley’s Transformation, on Saturday, November 2, at 10 am, in the North Lounge of Park Vista, on Fifth Avenue, in Youngstown. Thomas Welsh is the presenter. This presentation will reveal how some communities and organizations in the Youngstown area have maintained visibility and influence amid challenging post-industrial trends.
The talk will focus on two strikingly different communities, the local Jewish community and the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, both of whom have preserved a strong institutional presence and powerful sense of mission. The presentation will highlight specific strategies that have enabled these groups to pursue their goals in the face of tough circumstances.
The location is Park Vista North Lounge in the basement and park behind the building to enter.
