barbara krauss, announcer/producer
Barbara Krauss joined the staff of WYSU-FM in 1970 while she was a voice student at the Dana School of Music. On the advice of a friend, she walked into the studio one day and spoke to Bill Foster, afternoon announcer and program director at the time, who hired her because of her vocal training and knowledge of foreign languages. She's been with WYSU-FM ever since.Barbara earned her music degree from Dana, and has raised two boys, Erik and Philip, with her husband Ron. Ron is a classically trained musician and Dana graduate who played bass trombone with the Youngstown Symphony for 22 years. He currently works as the WYSU Broadcast Engineer. Barbara's hobbies include studying French literature, walking, and cooking.
