Boardman Township Park in Youngstown is hosting Outdoor Family Day on Saturday, September 12th, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Mill Creek MetroParks Fellows Riverside Gardens presents Vanishing Acts: Trees Under Threat, a large outdoor exhibit on display through October 31. [Vanishing Acts takes a compelling look at the precarious plight of the world’s trees and what that means to our everyday lives.] The self-guided exhibit begins at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center and continues throughout the Gardens. Big Foot Day is coming this Saturday, August 16, to Beaver Creek State Park. There is a Pancake Breakfast at the Pioneer Village Barn Pavilion from 8:00 am - noon. The City of Ashtabula presents the Big Bands on the Beach Summer Concert at the Walnut Beach Concession Stand area in Ashtabula, on Sunday, August 30, 4:00 - 6:00 pm, featuring the Tony Esposito Big Band, performing tunes from the 1930s and 1940s. It is free and open to the public.

The 17th Annual Italian Festival at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Youngstown scheduled for Thursday,July 23 - Sunday, July 26 on the parish grounds. Hours are 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm on Saturday, and 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm on Sunday.
