The North of Madison Avenue Better Block Association is sponsoring a celebration on Friday, October 2, 4:30 - 10:00 pm, and all day on Saturday, October 3. It will include a “pop-up” market, YSU Student Jazz Ensemble at Dorian Books; lectures, movement and cooking demos; music, poetry, and food. Boardman Township Park in Youngstown is hosting Outdoor Family Day on Saturday, September 12th, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All ages are welcome to enjoy archery, fishing, live animals, wagon rides, a live band, and much more! Mill Creek MetroParks Fellows Riverside Gardens presents Vanishing Acts: Trees Under Threat, a large outdoor exhibit on display through October 31. [Vanishing Acts takes a compelling look at the precarious plight of the world’s trees and what that means to our everyday lives.] The self-guided exhibit begins at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center and continues throughout the Gardens.
