Mill Creek MetroParks presents the exhibit Organic Steel, in the Outdoor Gallery at Fellows Riverside Gardens, through Thursday, October 19..  Artist, Tony Armeni, a native Ohioan and teacher at Youngstown State University, has returned to Fellows Riverside Gardens to showcase his work. YSU Office of Alumni Engagement: Floating YSU Tailgate on the Gateway Clipper: September 2

The YSU Office of Alumni Engagement and the Penguin Club are hosting a "Floating Tailgate on the Gateway Clipper" on Saturday, September 2, 10 am - noon, before the Penguins' season opener against the Pitt Panthers in Pittsburgh. The Clipper will be docked right next to Heinz Field! Reservation for this Floating Tailgate must be made by August 25 at 'YSU dot EDU slash alumni slash Pitt' or at Alumni Engagement at 330-941-3119. 

 

 

Canfield United Methodist Churc: Pet Blessing

Canfield United Methodist Church offers a Pet Blessing,  on Sunday, August 6, at 2:00 pm. The gathering will be held at the gazebo on the Green in Canfield.  Rev. Susan Brown, pastor at Canfield UMC, and her husband Rev. Jerry Krueger of Boardman United Methodist Church will preside over the event.  All pets are welcome but must be appropriately restrained or kenneled. More information at Canfield UMC at 330-533-9801.

Jazz in The Park Youngstown

Columbiana Wine Festival

The Columbiana Wine Festival takes place at the Town Center at Firestone Farms in Columbiana on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22, from 5-10 pm both days, rain or shine. There will be wineries, artisans, food, and music.

The event is hosted by the Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau.

Youngstown Area Community Concert Band: "Friends in the Park" Concert

The Youngstown Area Community Concert Band and the Canfield Community Concert Band will be performing jointly in the "Friends In The Park" Concert at the Maag Outdoor Arts Theatre in Boardman Park, on Sunday, July 30 at 4:00 pm. It is free and open to the public.

Youngstown Art Walk

YWCA Youngstown is presenting the 35th annual art show, Women Artists:  A Celebration, free and open to the public, 12 - 4 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, through July 28.  YWCA is joined by other galleries - Soap, McDonough, Museum of Steel and Industry, St. John's Episcopal Church, and Jewish Community Center - for an art walk Friday, July 7, 4 - 7 pm, including refreshments and chance at a prize.

United Eastern Lenape Nation: Healing Mother Earth 9th Annual Native American Powwow

United Eastern Lenape Nation presents Healing Mother Earth 9th Annual Native American Powwow, Friday, July 28 - Sunday, July 30.  There will be dancing, drums, native crafts, vendors, storytelling and more.
