In partnership with Lincoln Knolls Block watch, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) is hosting a "Better Blocks" event on the East Side of Youngstown, on Saturday, August 13, 2016, noon - 4:00 pm. "Better Blocks" will take place in the Lincoln Knolls Plaza on McCartney Roadd. The event will include pop up businesses, kids activities, food, a Bike Helmet and book bag giveaway, art gallery, vendors, and outdoor seating.

The City of Ashtabula presents Big Bands on the Beach Summer Concert Series in Ashtabula features the Tony Esposito Big Band performing tunes from the 1930s and 1940s on Sunday, August 21, 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Walnut Beach. the conccert is free and open to the public. The Soap Gallery and Opera Western Reserve present "An Evening in Spain: A Musical and Artistic Experience" on Friday, September 16 at the Gallery, 117 S.
