The YSU Dana School of Music presents a recital by violinist Ferenc Szecsodi (SEH-chur-dee), and pianist Aniko Szokody (SOH-koh-dee), on Wednesday, March 8, at 7:30 pm, at St. John's Episcopal Churh, on Wick Avenue, in Youngstown. Featured works are Cesar Franck's A minor Violin Sonata, Three Hungarian Folk Dances by Leo Weiner, and works by Peter Toth, Jeno Hubay, and William Kroll. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Southside Fine Arts Academy will resume their Winter/Early Spring programming on Wednesdays and Thursdays, February 15 and 16 from 4:00 -7:00 pm. Wednesday classes will be held at St. Angela Merici School, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown. Thursday classes will be held at Neighborhood Ministries at Rockford Village, 1405b Dogwood Lane, in Youngstown. The Academy is open to all children, grades k-12. There is no fee to participate.
