The Southside Fine Arts Academy will hold their summer sessions in the fine arts Tuesday, July 19th through Tuesday, August 23rd, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road. O.C.C.H.A. Inc., the Hispanic American Civic and Cultural Organization will host its Fifth International Latino Food Festival from noon to 8:00 pm, on Saturday, July 23. The annual festival takes place at the O.C.C.H.A. Social Hall, 3660 Shirley Road, in Youngstown. Experience a taste of Hispanic cuisine through authentic handmade food delicacies, desserts, and beverages. Festival goers will be treated to traditional dances, musical performances, and a DJ throughout the day. A piñata, children’s activities, and raffles will also be featured. The United Eastern Lenape (leh-NAH-pi) Nation is proud to present their 8th annual Healing Mother Earth Native American Powwow, Friday. August 5 through Sunday, August 7, at Fischer’s Pine Lake, 3796 Maple Road, in Jefferson, Ohio. The Powwow includes dancing, drums, native crafts, vendors, and storytelling. Fiftee-year-old violinist Elias David Moncado will perform a concert on Wednesday, July 13, at 7:00 pm, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, on Wick Avenue, in Youngstown. Elias has won major violin competitions and is part of a cultural exchange between the Platin Scala orchestra in Germany and the New Castle Eintracht (INE TRACT) Maennerchor.
