Coming up at the McDonough Museum of Art on Thursday, April 2 at 7:30 pm is a concert titled CutTime Simfonica. The concert will feature well-known orchestral works as well as some new "funky and groovy" compositions by Rick Robinson, formerly a bassist with the Detroit Symphony. Performing will be musicians from several regional orchestras. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Great Music Without Barriers Concert Series of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ashtabula will present the Amici String Quartet -- consisting of members from the Cleveland Orchestra -- in a concert featuring two of Beethoven’s string quartets on Sunday, April 26, at 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s in downtown Ashtabula. The West End Ensemble presents a String Chamber Music Concert at Cedars at 706 Steel Street on the west side of Youngstown on Sunday, March 22. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the concert begins at 7:00 pm. The Canfield Community Concert Band will present a concert on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 pm in the auditorium at Canfield High School. The theme of the concert is Crossing Borders and the program will feature music for wind band representing classic and contemporary styles from around the world.
The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Hometown Heroes with the help of Warren native Sean Jones, performing the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto, on April 18th at 8:00 pm, at the Edward W. BUILDING ART 2015,the annual celebration ofthe creative artists and great works happening at the Morley Arts Building in Youngstown, is scheduled for Saturday, March 7th, at 7:00 pm. The Morley Arts Building, located at 218 West Boardman Street in Youngstown, is the home to Ballet Western Reserve, Ballet Western Reserve Center for Dance Education.

The 2015 YSU Diversity Leadership Recognition event will honor the diversity & inclusion efforts of area leaders, on Friday, March 27th, at Stambaugh Auditorium.
