The Southside Fine Arts Academy: Summer Art at the Villa

The Southside Fine Arts Academy presents the summer program, “Arts at the Villa,” Saturday, August 5 - Tuesday, August 15, at the Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center, 2067 Evergreen Road, Villa Maria, PA. Societal: Flash Jazz Concert featuring Marion Meadows

Societal is having a special ""Flash Jazz" Concert, Friday, May 12th, at 8:00 pm, at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, Ford Family Recital Hall.  The concert features National Recording Artist and Grammy Award Winner, Marion Meadows. YSU College of Creative Arts and Communications: Blissful Beginnings

The YSU Department of Theater and Dance presents "Blissful Beginnings, Opening Night Art Walk," on Thursday, April 6, at 6:00 pm, in the Bliss Recital Hall, on the YSU campus. It’s a night devoted to the arts on opening night of the YSU Dance Ensemble Concert.

 

Arab American Community Center: Shoruq Girls’ Hip-Hop Group

The Arab American Community Center in Youngstown is sponsoring a performance by the Shoruq Girls’ Hip-Hop Group, on Saturday, March 25, at 7:00 pm, at St. Ann Church 4310 Kirk Road, in Youngstown.  The 18 dancers, all between the ages of 12 and 16, live in a Palestinian refugee camp.  The group will perform a selection of songs they have created themselves, in a mix of Arabic and English.     

Ballet Western Reserve: Building Art One Hit Wonders Program

Rockin' Road To Dublin Show

The Rockin' Road To Dublin show is coming to Youngstown on Sunday, March 26 at 7:30 pm, at Powers Auditorium,.  Rockin' Road to Dublin combines the art of an Irish dance show, the power of a Rock-N-Roll concert, with the finish of a Broadway theatrical production.   The program features Irish dancers Scott Doherty and Ashley Smith, and a cast includes 14 dancers, 8 musicians and two vocalists.  Tickets available by phone 330-744-0264 or youngstownsymphony.com.

The Southside Fine Arts Academy: Winter/Early Spring Opening

 The Southside Fine Arts Academy will resume their Winter/Early Spring programming on Wednesdays and Thursdays, February 15 and 16 from 4:00 -7:00 pm.  Wednesday classes will be held at St. Angela Merici School, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown.  Thursday classes will be held at Neighborhood Ministries at Rockford Village, 1405b Dogwood Lane, in Youngstown.  The Academy is open to all children, grades k-12.  There is no fee to participate.  More information on the Southside Fine Arts Academy's Facebook page or at 330-540-8589.  

YWCA of Youngstown: International Women's Day

The YWCA of Youngstown presents International Women's Day, on Wednesday, March 8, 6:00 - 8:00 pm.  The program will encourage diversity, recognize the uniqueness of various cultures and, celebrate women. It will feature a multicultural fashion show, food, and music from around the world.
