St. Patrick Church: Summer Arts Camp

St. Patrick Church, on Oak Hill Avenue, in Youngstown, is hosting a Summer Arts Camp the week of August 3 - 7, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm daily. Activities include singing, drama, handbells, boomwhackers, hands-on visual art activities, creative writing/poetry and individual instrument tutoring. All of the classes are being taught by qualified artists from the parish, artists from the community, as well as from Youngstown State University. The art camp is open to all children Grades K-12. There is a $5.00 registration fee per child.

Lit Youngstown: Larry Smith & Paul Gentile

Lit Youngstown presents a reading by Larry Smith, editor of Bottom Dog Press of Sandusky, and Paul Gentile, author of Salvatore and Maria: Finding Paradise , on Wednesday July 1, at 7:00 pm., at Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts on N. Phelps St. in downtown Youngstown. The reading will be followed by an open mic segment. It is free and open to the public.

Summer Festival of the Arts 2015

Youngstown State University presents its annual Summer Festival of the Arts on Saturday, July 11th from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, July 12th from 11 am to 5 pm. This event features a showcase of art works in all media by local and regional artists in the Artists' Marketplace, craft making at a Children's Hands On Art Tent, the Festival of Nations, food, and live musical entertainment. WaterFire Sharon PA

WaterFire Sharon PA is a unique arts and culture festival that occurs three times a year along the Shenango River in beautiful downtown Sharon. The final one in 2015 is this Saturday. The day-long event offers music, food, fine artisans, craft vendors, family activities, and interactive art experiences. Admission is free to the public. Actual WaterFire performances begin at dusk. Youth Summer Workshops at the Art Outreach Gallery

The Art Outreach Gallery is expanding its summer workshops and children's programs this year, scheduled from June 22 to July 10 at the Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall Complex. Workshops are designed for students 5 to 18 years of age. RSVP by completing the registration form and return it to the Art Outreach Gallery. The form can be downloaded at artoutreach.org.
