Shenango Valley Professionals to Hold Scavenger Hunt

SHARON, Pa. -- Shenango Valley Professionals are developing a list for the 12th Annual Scavenger Hunt they will hold from 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 29. Registration begins at 5 p.m.

The goal to familiarize the membership with products and services fellow Shenango Valley Chamber members sell or provide, organizers said. Most items on the list must come from the business of a chamber member and they must be authenticated with a business card, receipt or other source of verification the item was received that day. Participants will use their chamber member directories as a resource in finding the items.

Suggested items include an Internal Revenue Service form, a pen with a business name or logo, key chain, pictures with local celebrities and a bar of soap imprinted with the name of a hotel. The scavengers get to keep all of the items they collect.

The organizers are developing a list of members unable to participate. Upon request, these businesses will be placed on this list, which will be distributed to teams.

A happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m. at Montrose GM Superstore, Hermitage, will overlap the last hour of the scavenger hunt. Cost to participate is $50 per team, with a maximum of four per team. A digital camera or camera phone is required.
