YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Cumulus Media, the Atlanta-based operator of 525 radio stations in 90 markets, today named its eight-state Youngstown group as tops in overall performance in the second quarter.
“The team in Youngstown has performed at record levels this year and is well deserving of this award,” said Jon Pinch, executive vice president and co-chief operating officer of Cumulus.
The company’s president’s cup is awarded every quarter. In addition to a trophy, the Cumulus Youngstown group shares a cash prize of $10,000 distributed across the station’s staff.
The eight-station group consists of K105, Hot 101, News/Talk 790, WSOM News/Talk 600, Y103, Rock 104 and SportsRadio 1240AM/96.7FM.
Said Rick Parrish, vice president/market manager of Cumulus Youngstown, “I am very proud of the success our Youngstown sales team, programming team and support staff have achieved with our eight radio stations that serve northeast Ohio and Pennsylvania. Our team set the goal to bring the Cumulus president’s cup to Youngstown, and through hustle and hard work, we did it!”
