WARREN, Ohio -- Avalon Holdings Corp. reported a first-quarter net loss of $700,000, or 18 cents per share.
This compares with a net loss of $100,000, or four cents per share, for the first quarter of 2013.
Net operating revenues fell to $10 million compared with $14.7 million in the first quarter a year ago.
Avalon Holdings Corp. provides waste management services to industrial, commercial, municipal and governmental customers in selected northeastern and midwestern U.S. markets. The company also owns the Avalon Golf and Country Club, which operates golf courses and country clubs in Trumbull County and Mercer County, Pa.
