WYSU provides several ways that you can listen to us online. The following is a short, educuational guide that explains your options to listen to WYSU.
-
WYSU Media Player
You can listen to our HD1 news, classical, jazz channel and our HD2 all-classical channel by using the in-browser
WYSU Media Player. This is a simple audio player
that allows you to stream WYSU directly through your browser as if you were listening to the radio.
This option is best for listening to WYSU quickly when visiting our website and does not use many system resources. In addition, the WYSU Media Player also tells you what program and
song is currently playing when that information is available.
The disadvantage is that it somtimes requires the Adobe Flash plugin if you are using certain browsers. Fortunately, your browser most likely has Adobe Flash already installed.

Using another media player
If you don't like the WYSU Media Player, there are a slew of alternative media players that you may use to access our online streams. The following links can be opened with a media player of your
choice.
Third party media players often provide more playback functionaliy that the WYSU Media Player cannot provide, such as rewinding and fast-forwarding. However, they often use more system resources
and can be more complex to use if you are not familiar with their interface. The following is a list of just a few media players you may use to listen to WYSU.
-
Podcasts
In addition to live streaming audio, WYSU also provides podcast subscriptions which help you keep up with your favorite local programming on WYSU. Simply add the program's podcast URL to
your favorite podcast/RSS reader software and you will receive notification of new programming the second it's uploaded to our website.
The following shows provide podcast subscriptions. Click on the following links to get information about the show as well as be provided with a podcast subscription URL.

One last note
Unfortunately, due to restrictions contained in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, WYSU is unable to stream HD1 programming during the following times:
- Saturday, 11pm - Midnight
- Sunday, 8pm - 10pm
What this means for listeners is that, during these times, WYSU will air HD2 audio in place of HD1 audio
only for our online media streams. Our on-air radio broadcast will remain unaffected.
You can click here if you'd like to learn more about the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.
Of course, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or criticisms, feel free to contact
