• Spring 2014 Membership Drive Recap

    On behalf of everyone at WYSU, we want to thank everyone who helped make our Spring 2014 Membership Drive a success. With your help, we were able to raise $114,271, just short of $115,000 goal. In addition, we are able to welcome 121 new members to the WYSU family!

    We would also like to congratulate Dr. Robert Crafton of Slippery Rock, the winner of our Grand Prize- a trip for two on our 2015 Alaskan Cruise!

  • Bonjour tout le monde! WYSU is Going to France!

    This trip is scheduled for 10 days, starting May 1, 2014. It includes Nice, the Cote d’Azure, Monte Carlo, and Paris, of course! A basic tour price of $3,600 includes airfare, all hotels, many meals, and much more.

    Update: At the moment, the tour is sold out, but cancellations are always a very strong possibility.

  • Canton Symphony in Orbit in April with The Planets

    Created by filmmaker Duncan Copp, The Planets - An HD Odyssey is a spectacular video presentation of Gustav Holst’s cosmic masterpiece, The Planets. The video depicts the latest images from modern space exploration, and on Saturday, April 26, The Planets will be projected in HD on a giant screen over the stage at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall. The effect is a stunning visual canvas to accompany the Canton Symphony Orchestra performance of the musical score, Gerhardt Zimmermann, conductor.

    Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting the couple's first child, also a first grandchild for former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

    "Mark and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year," Chelsea Clinton, who is 34, said at a New York event while sitting on a stage with her mother, according to The Associated Press.
